Through the looking glass

It was still early.

Polaroid Simulacrum

I admit: I’m not up on all the social media ways.. Don’t have a Twitter account, am not part of Instagram, cannot figure out if there’s an advantage, or need, to have a Tumblr blog versus just having a regular photo blog… I post on Facebook and, mostly with my iPhone, scroll through the most recent stories, like things I like, sometimes comment etc. I think I’d like to give these other ‘social media’ apps a try one of these days. I welcome your thoughts and suggestions on this – please use the message via comment section here or email me. Thanks 🙂

Meanwhile I’ve decided to share on more regular basis the daily snapshots I take. These are my iPhone pictures and like millions of other people I too cannot resist using that gadget just for that purpose. It’s an addiction. I love it. And seriously I do consider it part of the practice – my personal artistic practice. The three above are little landscapes close to my heart.

Coming up – a post about Bill Jacobson’s Last Roll.

Jett - Monika…these are so lovely. In my humble opinion I would continue with your blog and Facebook and not waste your time on the others.. I share on tumbler but never use it and Instagram is fun but not very important.

Great to hear about your book project…it is really wonderful and so very exciting that you are persevering and making it happen! Congratulations!!

Monika Sosnowski - Thanks Jett for your feedback. I think I might stick with the blog and not pursue the Tumblr option. Got to try out Instagram just to experience it. Thanks for your support regarding the book project – I appreciate it!
